St. Anne, mother of Mary, grandmother of Jesus. The name Anne was derived from the Hebrew Hannah, meaning ‘grace’. St. Anne was born in Bethlehem and married Joachim of Jerusalem. Many times pictures and statues of St. Anne will show St. Anne and Mary with Mary holding the infant Jesus. In St. Anne’s honor there will be a Triduum starting on Friday, July 26 with Mass at 8:30 a.m. in church, continuing on Saturday, July 27 at the 4 p.m. Mass, and concluding on Sunday, July 28 at the 10:30 Mass. Please join us for as many of the Masses as you can. Following the Sunday Mass there will be a coffee hour in the Convent. All are invited to attend.
